Tibia 10.94: what’s new on the map?

The 2016 Summer Update has been released! This blog post focuses on what this means for Tibia map explorers. For information on other aspects of this update, see the official announcement on Tibia.com or the detail page for the 10.94 update on TibiaWiki.

Our map downloads have already been updated to include the new areas in this update.

Vortices and the Otherworld

Glowing vortex in Ankrahmun

A hole in the desert to the north of Ankrahmun leads to a small new cave with strong new creatures.

Inside the cave, there’s a glowing vortex. Entering it teleports you to this exact location in the Otherworld:

Glowing vortex in Svargrond

Another vortex may appear in the mountains to the south-west of Svargrond. A hole in the snowy landscape leads to a small new cave with strong new creatures.

Entering the glowing vortex in the cave takes you to this exact location in the Otherworld:

Glowing vortex in Zao

Another vortex may appear in Zao. A hole in the north-western part of the Zao Steppe leads to a small new cave with strong new creatures.

Entering the glowing vortex in the cave takes you to this exact location in the Otherworld:

PvE arenas

PvE arenas have been added to Thais, Edron, Rathleton, Ankrahmun, Kazordoon.

The teleports leading to the new arenas can be found near the PvP arena teleports. Here’s the one in Thais, for example:

Entering it brings you here:

The actual arena is one floor below.

By walking on one of the randomly placed pitfalls in the arena you end up yet another floor below:

Level 999 gate of expertise in Banuta

On the test server, the level 999 gate of expertise in Deeper Banuta was replaced with a skeleton decoration hanging up on a solid wall.

This led some players to panic, thinking CipSoft removed the fabled door from the game in this update. On the real servers however, the gate of expertise is still there after the update.

In hindsight, it really wouldn’t make sense for CipSoft to highlight the gate of expertise in recent blog posts and contests only to subsequently remove it from the game.

The most likely explanation is that CipSoft actually implemented a new area behind the teleport as part of this summer update. To prevent people from getting access to the new area (and thus spoiling the surprise) due to some kind of bug, they temporarily removed the door altogether from the test server.

Kharsek is on track to reach level 999 by the end of this year. If all goes well, he’ll be the first player ever to walk through the door and discover the secret behind the teleport. Hopefully he’ll want to share his maps exploring the new area with us!

Have fun exploring the new areas!
